SOS III: Experience with IIS, Apache, Tomcat, RHEL/Centos, Windows Server, PHP/Perl/Ruby/Python, Fabric/Chef/Rundeck/Puppet a plus.

Technical Requirements Must be able to demonstrate detailed technical knowledge in all of the following areas: o Windows and Linux server administration experience required. Expertise in system installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures.

o Web server (IIS, Apache) and application server (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss, PHP) expertise required, including installation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures.

o Content management systems and publishing systems experience preferred but not required. o Database Administration – setup, configuration and basic database troubleshooting skills. o Understanding of internet standards such as HTTP, DNS, FTP, SSH, HTML, XML, JDBC, SNMP and other protocols. o IP communication and packet structure, with focus on HTTP protocol and experience with network protocol analyzers.

o Experience hardening and maintaining secure systems (Visa CISP or PCI experience a plus!) o Network hardware architecting including experience with load balancing equipment, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting. o Hardware systems design and implementation, cluster management, implementing redundancy and testing failover, etc.

o Experience in at least 2 relevant scripting or programming languages (Perl, Bash, JavaScript, Python, C, Java, etc). Application development/engineering experience is a huge plus. o Expert use of monitoring and troubleshooting utilities to effectively diagnose problems. o Storage (SAN, NAS, etc).

Communication and Leadership Requirements Must be able to demonstrate competency in the following areas: o Excellent verbal and written communication to all levels in the organization. o Ability to help in systems integration and design including writing operational specs, architectural diagrams, test plans and requirements management. o Communication of ideas and solutions in a clear and organized manner. o Clear and effective presentations to groups of people. o Construction of concise and complete technical documentation. o Detailed understanding of the goals and requirements of the business supported.
